Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super puff car that I am ready to drive off a cliff. had a idle surge trouble that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) upon tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After exasperating 2-3 swap used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. still had issues. support to the dealer.. this period he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research upon them, and found that its a common trouble past this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the original one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS compulsion to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics upon every joined parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 all grow old I recognize it accomplish the dealer for diagnostics.. on going problems are essentially add-on up. I m undecided to be next to the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I started the car stirring this morning, it starts stirring and runs at 1750 and within a minute or correspondingly climbs higher than 2500.. It is running smooth though, just habit future than it should be. I as a consequence checked the throttle screw plate/return screw, intentionally turned it out and nothing changed. put it assist to exactly where it was. No vacuum leak sounds and all friends verified. I character fine roughly them as I've been in there a bunch of times..
Hello the TPS does have an effect upon switching the car into idle mode fittingly I'd suggest to make sure the throttle plate is 100% closed and not slightly high and dry as soon as carbon. and then acclimatize the TPS thus that the IDL pin is continuous to the E2 attach later than the throttle is closed, and right to use circuit similar to the throttle is just cracked. Don't make miserable virtually any voltages, the IDL contact is the essentially important one.
