I have a 2004 ES330 bearing in mind a hestitation problem. It is good from a full stop but bearing in mind I go in the region of turns upon onto highway ramps, behind I upset the accellarator (sp?) it hesitates for 2 seconds past reving up. I ve taken it to a mechanic and he says it is normal. I have an 2003 Avalon subsequent to the thesame engine and it jumps off the begin and has no hesitation. Mechanic s Assistant: Will the headlights viewpoint on? Is the battery fully charged? With or without headlights on. Relatively new battery. Mechanic s Assistant: What is the model of your 04 Lexus? ES330 Mechanic s Assistant: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried for that reason far? I ve cleaned the MAF sensor. Checked for friends in the intake. following I put my Turbo OBDII app on, all seems fine except that the TPS stays constant concerning 30%. This is a drive-by-wire model so it has not throttle cable or usual TPS. I recognize the TPS is integrated later than the throttle controller/motor. Mechanic s Assistant: whatever else you want the mechanic to know before I be close to you? No, I guess that is it.
Might with be worth checking the wiring and connector to the airflow meter for any signs of corrosion or damage. you can complete a fast defect locate if you unplug the meter and rule the engine without it. if the engine condition is the thesame subsequently chances are the meter or the relationship to it is faulty. Its plus worth cleaning the MAF sensor wires, as they can get coated with dirt over grow old which next offsets the reading. Use some admittance cleaner or brake cleaner to spray onto the wires to separate the dirt upon no account touch the wires considering everything as they are unconditionally fragile
afterward I start the car, the engine surges in the works with 1200 and 2000 rpm back and forth. I misrepresented the IAC and the TPS considering no change in symptoms. I have noticed that several Lexus SC's have this thesame issue. Prior to this I would have to acclimatize the idle quickness screw to degrade the rpm and it would support for a while. Now, the engine is permanently surging to the point where I cannot steer it for distress signal of damage to the drive train. Any experienced solution?
