Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super shout out car that I am ready to steer off a cliff. had a idle surge problem that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) upon tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After infuriating 2-3 every other used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. nevertheless had issues. incite to the dealer.. this times he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research upon them, and found that its a common suffering past this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the native one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS dependence to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics upon every combined parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 all era I acknowledge it do the dealer for diagnostics.. upon going problems are essentially adding up. I m undecided to lie alongside the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I'm 1500 too high.. or more. It's boggling to me how this trouble has morphed into various idle problems and has everyone perplexed.. or so it seems. I've been dealing in the same way as this since July.. makes me appreciate my 240z 10 mature more.My father owns an sc400 and its been in reality fine to him.. I'm having a hard get older not subconscious critical next this purchase. I reach tone behind its a good car though. Motor sounds delightful and is super mild as soon as meting out right.
I don't have any check engine lights unless I unplug the MAF sensor. with the MAF is plugged in then the car will stall unless I put my foot upon the accelerator. There is also an intermittent popping unquestionable coming at idle.
